This is a lot to breakdown, and we won’t truly know how effective these changes will be until we try them out ourselves and get a feel for them on Patch 10.3. Ultimately we can accept that this is definitely a step in the right direction as it became clear that the jungle role had become very underpowered in Season 10.
Now, junglers can go back to killing Krugs instead of completely ignoring them as the EXP and Gold reward for clearing the camp has been improved. Additionally, overall EXP from camps has been increased from both Monster Hunter and Levels 4-6 EXP scaling.
It’s obviously too soon to tell if these changes are a success, but from first glance, it looks like we’ve reached a nice middle ground between current jungler strength and Season 10 jungler strength that everyone can be happy with.
Tips for the jungle on Patch 10.3 include farming more, killing Krugs more often, and test out multiple early jungle paths to maximize EXP and find effective ganks early on.
Patch 10.3 will hit live servers on Wednesday 5 February. Does the latest League of Legends patch have all the changes you wanted?
