One of the scariest champions in League of Legends just got spookier following the release of a terrifying teaser for the upcoming Fiddlesticks rework.

League of Legends has released a teaser for the highly anticipated Fiddlesticks rework expected to hit the Public Beta Environment (PBE) in the near future.

The Fiddlesticks champion trailer is undoubtedly one of the scariest animations we’ve seen since Warwick’s rework back in January 2017.

The teaser places us in the point-of-view of a Demacian soldier complaining about being on watch duty on a dark night not far from a hilltop stronghold. He’s suddenly alerted by movement and growls in the trees behind him and his watch partner, Tedric, is seemingly snatched away, leaving only his helmet behind.

Tedric’s voice is heard deep into the woods, so our guard heads in to investigate, only to find the source of the voice disintegrating into dust before he is startled by a cry for help just yards away.

In front of him stands a stationary, almost mechanical figure carrying a swinging lantern with a murder of crows rattling around the surrounding trees.

Suddenly, the figure screams into the sky and jumps into action, leaping at our soldier at a terrifying speed before the screen goes black. This is followed by an eery voice whispering “Fiddle-Sticks!” before we return to the abandoned helmet from earlier.

Although we may not learn much about the Fiddlesticks rework from the teaser, there’s no doubt we were all moved by how terrifying and creepy the animation for the newest iteration of the champion looked.

What can we expect from the Fiddlesticks rework?

Although nothing concrete is revealed in the Fiddlesticks rework teaser, we can speculate about a few of his abilities from the 80-second video.

First of all, it’s possible that Fiddlesticks will have an ability that allows him to mimic voice lines/models of enemy champions to draw opponents into what they think is safety before pouncing on them while they’re vulnerable.

We can also see Fiddlesticks possibly creating duplicates of his own model which then disappear and fade to dust, which could also be used as a distraction or target to draw in enemy players.

Finally, THAT running animation. Whether this is a normal or ultimate ability (or neither) it is terrifying and could be the thing that transforms our current goofy Fiddlesticks into the most terrifying champion in the game.

Sprinting at an enemy champion – while also possibly fearing the surrounding enemies – could be a game-changer in team fights and is definitely something to look out for as more information around the Fiddlesticks rework is revealed over the coming days and weeks.

What abilities do you think we’ll see on the reworked Fiddlesticks? Will his in-game model and kit be as terrifying as in the teaser?
