TFT Tier List: The Best Units and Comps in Patch 10.6 to Start Set 3
By Josh Tyler
Best compositions
In accordance with our rankings of the best champions, Classes and Origins, we now give you a guide for the best comps in Patch 10.6, along with the units you should buy in each one, as well as the best supplemental synergies to pair those comps with. We will put an asterisk next to the units that should be the main focus of these comps, to get to 2 or 3-stars and put items on. Note that when we recommend specific units of a Class/Origin but omit others for your pairings, we are saying these are the options we would consider to be above average or worthwhile additions to your comp.
- 6 Blademaster/Valkyrie: Kayle (*), Irelia (*), Yasuo, Shen, Master Yi, Fiora, Miss Fortune (*)
- Can swap Xayah for Fiora if you manage to 3-star.
- Keep Kai’Sa until you manage to get Miss Fortune.
- Round out comp with Ezreal (gets you Blaster and Chrono). Can also round out your comp with any Blademaster.
- 6 Cybernetic/Blademaster: Ekko (*), Lucian (*), Vi, Irelia, Leona, Fiora, Kayle
- Can round out your comp with Ezreal (Chrono/Blaster). You can also add Kayle for Valkyries.
- 6 Rebel/Blaster: Jinx (*), Aurelion Sol, Malphite, Sona, Yasuo, Master Yi, Lucian (*)
- Can round out the comp with a Blademaster (prefer Kayle). Can also add Lulu for Mystics.
- 6 Chrono/Blaster: Ezreal (*), Thresh, Wukong, Blitzcrank, Shen, Caitlyn, Lucian (*)
- Can round out the comp with a Mana-Reaver (Irelia) or Vanguards (Jayce).
- 4 Blaster/4 Chrono: Lucian, Ezreal (*), Jinx (*), Miss Fortune (*), Thresh, Wukong, Blizcrank
- 4 Blaster/4 Space Pirate: Graves (*), Ezreal, Jinx, Miss Fortune, Gangplank (*), Jayce, Darius
- Can round out this comp with Wukong (gives Vanguard and Chrono) or Thresh (gives Mana-Reaver and Chrono).
- I would only recommend going this comp if you get Graves to 3-stars.
- 4 Brawler/Void: Cho’Gath (*), Vi (*), Blitzcrank, Malphite, Kha’Zix, Vel’Koz
- Can round out with Cybernetic (add two of Ekko, Lucian, or Irelia). Can also round out with Rebels (Jinx and Aurelion Sol).
- This is a great comp if you get a lot of Needlessly Large Rods, Tears, and defensive items.
Concluding notes
While there’s not much more these aggregations can tell us with certainty with regards to comps or items, here is what our data can tell you about what to look for within your next Teamfight Tactics game.
- Early-game champions tend to not be very strong overall with the exception of Lucian. There is almost zero point in hyper-rolling in Patch 10.6 in my opinion.
- Valkyries are just too good to not put into almost any comp. They only cost two champion slots so you should always be looking to add MF and Kayle whenever you can, especially since they synergize into most Blaster/Blademaster comps.
- I’ve been noticing a lot of players getting to Level 9 in Patch 10.6, more so than in Set 2. Games tend to be more drawn out and, while there is very little gold available in the early game (which is probably why hyper-rolling isn’t a very viable option). With games going later, that could be a reason why our TFT tier list is so top-heavy.
