Mid Lane

1. Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage (FlyQuest)
2. Henrik “Froggen” Hansen (Dignitas)

A lot of fans have accused Froggen of just being here for the paycheck, but when watching the tape and looking at the stats, it’s clear that DIG’s downfall late in the season was more due to Huni not being up to par (and waiting too long to swap out Grig) than Froggen. Yes, his Qiyana game was atrocious to the point where I questioned why they picked it in the first place in a must-win game. However, despite this poor weekend, Froggen actually has the fewest unforced deaths of any mid laner in the LCS.

3. Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen (Team Liquid)
4. Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer (Cloud9)
5. Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro (Evil Geniuses)
6. Eugene “Pobelter” Park (CLG)

The Notorious POB is back and proving to be exactly who we thought he was: a solid if unspectacular player who is prone to some bad mistakes. His 2.9 deaths per game lead all mids (more than Jiizuke even) other than his predecessor Crown and his ratio of unforced deaths to deaths (0.56) is second-worst ahead of only Bjergsen (0.58) who has far fewer deaths. I would expect to see Pobelter back as a starting mid if not for CLG than somewhere next year.

7. Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg (TSM)
8. Tommy “ry0ma” Le (100 Thieves)
9. Jérémy “Eika” Valdenaire (Immortals)
10. Lee “Crown” Min-ho (CLG)
11. Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer (Golden Guardians)

Just like TSM fans should pray that I bash Bjergsen, GGS fans should pray I never compliment Goldenglue again. I mean, he played awful in his last two games (1/10/2 scoreline) and in watching the tape a lot of his deaths were just completely bone-headed. For a guy who’s entire claim to fame was basically “I’m reliable” Goldenglue might have just played himself out of a job next split unless he can right the ship.
