Best compositions

In accordance with our rankings of the best champions, Classes and Origins, we now give you a guide for the best comps in Patch 10.7, along with the units you should buy in each one, as well as the best supplemental synergies to pair those comps with. We will put an asterisk next to the units that should be the main focus of these comps, to get to 2 or 3-stars and put items on. Note that when we recommend specific units of a Class/Origin but omit others for your pairings, we are saying these are the options we would consider to be above average or worthwhile additions to your comp.

  • 6 Cybernetic: Ekko, Lucian (*), Vi, Irelia (*), Leona, Fiora
    • Round out the comp with
      • Ezreal (Chrono/Blaster) and Thresh (Chrono and Mana-Reaver) if you have a strong Lucian
      • Miss Fortune for Blasters along with Kayle for Valkyries and Blademasters (ideal if you have a strong Irelia).
    • Works well in
      • Neekoverse (to either 3-star Lucian or get additional Irelias, Kayles, Miss Fortunes)
      • Lilac Nebula-verse (if you get an Irelia with an item you can build off of, ideally a BF sword).
  • Mech-Valkyrie: Annie, Kai’Sa (*), Rumble, Shaco (*), Fizz, Kayle
    • Round out comp with
      • Miss Fortune (for more Valkyries) and Gangplank (for Demolitionists) if you have a strong Kayle, Fizz, Annie, or Rumble.
      • Ekko (for Infiltrators) if you have a strong-Kai’Sa or Shaco.
      • If you get an Infiltrator’s Talons, put it on Rumble or Annie
    • Works well in
      • Neekoverse (to 3-star Kai’Sa or Kayle if you have items for her)
      • Medium Legend-verse (if you choose to roll for 3-star Kai’Sa or Shaco)
  • Rebel/Demolitionist: Ziggs, Malphite, Sona, Yasuo/Master Yi, Jinx (*), Aurelion Sol, Gangplank (*)
    • Round out comp with
      • Lulu (for Mystics) if enemies are building high magic damage units or your GP is very strong.
      • Miss Fortune (for Blasters) if your Jinx is strong.
    • Works well in
      • Medium Legend-verse (you will likely be weak early so you’ll have more health to play with while you power-level for the 4 and 5-cost carries)
      • Lilac Nebula-verse (if you can get a Jinx with a good item like Recurve Bow off Carousel)
  • Jhinguard: Poppy, Mordekaiser, Ashe (*), Jayce, Shaco/Karma, Jhin, Wukong
    • Round out with
      • Thresh (for Chrono)
      • Full Dark Star (the other of Shaco/Karma, Lux, Jarvan) if you can get to Level 9
      • Graves (for Space Pirates) in the early game, then swap for GP late
    • Works well in
      • Lilac Nebula-verse (if you can get a Jhin with a good item like BF Sword off Carousel)

Concluding notes

While there’s not much more these aggregations can tell us with certainty with regards to comps or items, here is what our data can tell you about what to look for within your next Teamfight Tactics game.

  • As it was with Patch 10.6, in Patch 10.7 I would say there is no point in hyper rolling the 1-cost units. They’re too weak to be a significant carry. However, slow rolling 2 and 3-cost units has become a more viable strategy that we will discuss in the future.
  • With the new galaxies coming online in Patch 10.7, there are going to be games where certain comps fare better or worse. I don’t think any of the comps above are necessarily bad in the galaxies other than the ones noted above, just that they function a bit worse.
  • Games are definitely going longer in Set 3, so sacrificing your early health to accumulate gold is probably worth it. While Space Pirates don’t have a very strong trait overall, I think they are almost always worth picking up in the early game to amass that extra income.
