League of Legends Patch 10.8 Preview: BIG ADC Buffs
Champions
Sett
"W – Haymaker Physical/True Damage: 90/120/150/180/210 -> 80/105/130/155/180"
Haymaker is Sett’s primary damage source and can reduce enemies’ health bar to shreds if placed correctly.
At Level 9, the base damage for Haymaker is set to be reduced by 30. While this isn’t a massive change, it’ll definitely be felt in the early levels as the Boss struggles to maintain the level of control in his solo lane matchups as before.
Soraka
"Base Stats Mana: 375 -> 425 Q – Starcall Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Mana -> 45/50/55/60/65 Mana"
Soraka support players are still mentally recovering from her journey to the top lane which resulted in massive nerfs making the Starchild virtually unplayable. The balance team is now looking to make amends.
Increased base mana and a decreased Starcall mana cost mean Soraka can stay in the bot lane for prolonged periods without the need to recall to refill her mana bar.
It also allows the support to spam Starcalls during the laning phase for some added poke and health regen to keep her carry topped up in health with Astral Infusion.
Tristana
"E – Explosive Charge Minimum Physical Damage: 70/80/90/100/110 (+50/70/90/110/130 bonus AD) -> 70/80/90/100/110 (+50/75/100/125/150 bonus AD)"
The second ADC set to receive buffs on Patch 10.8 is Tristana with Explosive Charge AD ratio buffs that will improve her late game damage quite significantly.
As this is the first skill that Tristana maxes, she’ll feel the full effects of this buff at Level 9 where she can burst down enemies instantly with huge E stacked damage.
Urgot
"Q – Corrosive Charge Physical Damage: 25/70/115/160/205 (+70% AD) -> 25/75/125/175/225 (+80% AD) R – Fear Beyond Death Cooldown: 120/95/70 seconds -> 100/85/70 seconds"
Urgot received buffs on Patch 10.6 and is also set to receive buffs on Patch 10.8 as the balance team looks to make him a viable solo laner in the current meta.
The reduced cooldown for Fear Beyond Death opens up more opportunities for Urgot to 1v1 or force skirmishes in the early to mid game, while Corrosive Charge’s damage increase improves the Dreadnought’s damage output throughout all stages of the game.
These changes combined should be enough to make top laners consider playing Urgot on Patch 10.8 which could lead to him rising in presence over the next few weeks and months.
Varus
"R – Chain of Corruption Cooldown: 110/90/70 seconds -> 130/100/70 seconds"
Varus was lingering around the S tier of bot lane for too long thanks to the reliability of Chain of Corruption to kick off fights.
Now, Varus will have to wait 20 seconds longer to engage on an enemy bot lane to force a fight, slowing his potential snowball and preventing him from quickly taking over games.
Xayah
"E – Bladecaller Damage Falloff per Feather Hit: 10% -> 5%"
ADC Buffs Part 3/3: Xayah.
Currently, if Xayah hits her target with 5 feathers, she’ll deal 400% of the damage of a single feather. If her Patch 10.8 buffs go through, this will change to 450%, enhancing her damage output when stacking feathers behind enemy champions.
This is an excellent buff for Xayah and should see her solo queue presence rise as players adjust to the changes.
Jungle Changes
"Jungle Camp experience at Level 9 increased by 10%. Jungle Item sustain increased by 50% when below 30% maximum health. Early Game Homeguards: 50% movement speed decaying over 5 seconds. Shared Kill XP reduced by 20% (levels 1-6), reduced by 10% (levels 7-8). Solo Kill XP increased by 20% (levels 1-6), increased by 10% (levels 7-8)."
These changes are intended to reduce the effectiveness of early jungle ganks, while also allowing junglers to power farm during the early levels through increased sustain and experience.
