Another possible reunion for Doublelift with his original LCS team, wouldn’t this be quite the throwback? Unfortunately, I don’t think CLG is ready for a Doublelift reunion and I don’t see why he would be amenable to joining the last-place team in the Spring Split. He’d be an upgrade over Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes but CLG has stuck with Stixxay for so long I don’t think they’ll move on from him.

Likelihood: Probably not

Dignitas

Anyone else get a little bit excited at the possibility of the famous Rush Hour bot lane reuniting on a team with Froggen? Well, you should probably tamper your expectations because I don’t think this trade is likely to happen either.

Even though Doublelift and Dignitas’s current support Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black were an iconic duo way back on CLG, their breakup (which led to Doublelift joining rival TSM) was ugly. It seems like they have patched things up a bit since, but with Aphro now being tied to the young, promising ADC Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen, I don’t think he wants to go down that road again. Plus, Dignitas has bigger issues to determine like who their jungler will be next split and what will happen with top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon.

Likelihood: Makes sense, but probably not

100 Thieves

An easy pass from the Thieves, who have one of the best native ADCs in the LCS in Cody “Cody Sun” Sun. Plus, stylistically, 100 Thieves tend to play more mid/top-centric, forcing their bot lane to play more weak-side. I don’t think this is a style Doublelift would be comfortable playing, so why rock the boat if they don’t have to?

Likelihood: Nah

Immortals

Another reunion, this time with his former jungler Jake “Xmithie” Puchero and he’d land on a team that could certainly use a lane to play through, I think this is the most likely spot no one will talk about. Immortals are an old-guard team and would be willing to spend the money to bring over Doublelift, and they’d have no issues replacing their tandem of Johnny “Altec” Ru and Apollo “Apollo” Price.

Likelihood: Keep your eye out for it

Golden Guardians

Last year, I would have said this was a slam-dunk as this move could re-unite him with former lane partner Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung and settle the line-up down. However, in the offseason Golden Guardians committed to their current ADC Ian Victor “FBI” Huang by letting Olleh walk.

By doing so, Golden Guardians clearly signalled that they believe in FBI. Now, why would they move on from him (after a deceptively strong split) for a maybe-washed-up Doublelift and no stable support? I think they’ll spend the offseason trying to figure out who should be their support next split, not their ADC.

Likelihood: One year too late
