#3 – Gamers Origin

🇫🇷 Damien “Shemek” Soulagnet (Top)
🇭🇺 Subicz “bluerzor” Dániel (Jungle)
🇫🇷 Loic “toucouille” Dubois (Mid)
🇸🇪 Ludvig “XDSMILEY” Granquist (ADC)
🇸🇪 Morgan “HustlinbeasT” Granberg (Support)

The Parisian GamersOrigin was a surprise ticket during the LFL playoffs. After finishing third place with a record of 10-4, they battled their way through the gauntlet format to become the French champions. They became more and more dominant as the playoffs progressed, edging out Vitality.Bee in a close series 3-2, then besting Misfits Premier 3-1 in the next round before sweeping regular season toppers LDLC.OL 3-0 in the final.

Now, GamersOrigin will be looking to prove that their playoff run wasn’t a fluke and that they are truly one of the top teams in Europe. This roster has plenty of fresh talent, but one name readers might recognize is support HustlinbeasT who previously went by simply Hustlin.

Hustlin was a member of a successful Giants roster which qualified for playoffs in Summer 2016. Unfortunately, he was also a member of the Giants team which would be relegated by Fnatic Academy the very next split.

Since then he has played in The Turkish Championship League (TCL) for Dark Passage and for Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) during their 2018 Spring EU Masters run before settling in the LFL with GamersOrigin. He first played with his bot lane partner XDSMILEY during their time together on Ninjas in Pyjamas; however, XDSMILEY has had a career spread across several countries. He has competed in Russia, the United Kingdom, Spain, the Nordics, and now France. He has won championships in three of these regions.

Moving up the map, we have toucouille in the middle lane. This past Spring was the 18-year-old Frenchman’s rookie split, as he had only played in amateur French tournaments prior to winning his first championship. Winning the EU Masters in a rookie split would be quite the feat.

Next, we have bluerzor who has been playing competitively since he was 15-years-old. He has already tasted ERL glory when he won the 2019 Spring Superliga with the Mad Lions. He has played in EU Masters twice, making the knockout stage both times.

Lastly, we have Shemek who has been playing in the LFL for several years. He played for GamersOrigin in 2017, before switching to Vitality.Bee for the next two years, returning to the GamersOrigin organisation just in time to lift the LFL trophy in 2020.

GamersOrigin will be competing in Group A with BT Excel, Team GamerLegion and YDN Gamers (a very gamer-themed group). The top spot in this group is a toss-up between the French team and BT Excel, who won 18 games in a row before narrowly losing out to Fnatic.Rising in the United Kingdom League Championship (UKLC) finals.

The duo will also have to contend with the German third seed Team GamerLegion who are no slouches. There’s a reason the Prime League are the only regional league with three participants in the Main Event.

Lastly, we have the Italian champions YDN gamers who have the potential to cause upsets. In a group stage with only six games, anything can happen. GamersOrigin will need to fend off their opponents to do France proud and proceed to the knockout stages.
