A look at the best mid laners in Week 1 of LCS Summer 2020.

Mid Lane

1. Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro (Evil Geniuses)

The Player of the Week for Week 1 of LCS Summer 2020, Jiizuke earned those honors thanks to a ridiculous 19 adjusted KDA with 14 kills to one death on the weekend. His laning and damage outputs were almost immaculate and he was the only solo laner to earn over 500 gold per minute.

2. Tanner “Damonte” Damonte (Golden Guardians)

After a split off, I can finally say once again IT’S TANNER TIME BABY! Damonte is back and atop the mid laners power ranking due to being one of only three mid laners (Jiizuke and Bjergsen were the others) who did over 500 damage per minute. While I wasn’t in love with his Ekko game (he used his ult a bit too early in cases) and his laning still needs work (he averaged a 15 CS deficit at 15 minutes), his 81% kill participation with a 42.9% kill share indicates that he was one of the big factors carrying Golden Guardians to a 1-1 week.

3. Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen (Team Liquid)
4. Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg (TSM)

I really just want to shout out the fact that, after a year in which he was relegated to playing more of a supportive role, Bjergsen went off and re-asserted himself as the hard carry for TSM. He did 44.9% of his team’s damage over their two games, the most for any player in Week 1 of LCS Summer 2020.

5. Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer (Cloud9)
6. Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage (FlyQuest)
7. Henrik “Froggen” Hansen (Dignitas)
8. Jérémy “Eika” Valdenaire (Immortals)
9. Eugene “Pobelter” Park (CLG)
10. Tommy “ry0ma” Le (100 Thieves)
