League of Legends Patch 10.13 preview: Aphelios and Yuumi nerfs
The provisional changes on League of Legends Patch 10.13 have been revealed
The League of Legends Summer Split is underway, the meta is being slowly defined, and the overpowered champions have made themselves known. Aphelios, Kalista, Syndra, and Yuumi all boast incredibly high win rates and pro play presences in the current meta and are set to receive heavy nerfs on Patch 10.13.
Earlier in the week, Riot Scruffy (Lead Gameplay Designer for League of Legends) revealed the full list of provisional changes heading to Summoner’s Rift on Patch 10.13. While the buffs and nerfs remains subject to change until the official patch notes are released on Tuesday, 23 June, most of the aims and decisions of the patch will remain the same.
For example, the Death’s Dance nerf will probably stick due to its immense power when purchased by ADCs, and so will the Syndra nerf as she currently has a 95% presence across the top 4 regions in pro play. Cassiopeia, Ornn, and Conqueror also make it to the nerf list as the balance team look to reduce the impact of some of the strongest aspects of the current meta on Patch 10.13.
As for buffs, there’s plenty to look forward to in the provisional list of changes. AP Kog’Maw and AP Nunu could be back as their ratios see a small increase, Nocturne’s clear speed and jungle impact are also set to be boosted, and Vi’s Vault Breaker cooldown could be reduced to just 6 seconds.
Other champions set to be buffed include Gnar, Lucian, Rakan, Ryze, and Yorick in an attempt to broaden the champion pools of every role and welcome some underutilized champions back into the meta.
