LCS Summer 2020 Week 2 is in the books, here is where the teams sit in our LCS power rankings.

3. Team Liquid (3-1)

Elo: 479 (-102)

The other big statement game this weekend came when Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid faced off and unfortunately, despite their strong start to the season, Liquid came out on the losing end. Unfortunately, the game was fairly one-sided with EG taking control of the game early and never relinquishing that control. I have wonder when people are going to raise concerns about Impact’s champion pool, given that he strangely picked Mordekaiser into Volibear (considered to be a losing lane) and got smashed by Kumo.

2. Evil Geniuses (3-1)

Elo: 574 (+4)

They got their statement win, but also took their first loss of the season to Cloud9. You can hardly hold losing to the best team in the LCS against EG, who are proving that they deserved all the hype they didn’t get going into the Summer Split. Next week, they play TSM and Dignitas, which should be a great chance to pick up a few wins and separate themselves from the pack.

1. Cloud9 (4-0)

Elo: 625 (+49)

The king is back upon his throne. After one week of being ranked second (gasp), C9 have reclaimed their crown atop our power rankings where I presume they’ll stay for the remainder of the split.

C9 took down a formidable foe in Evil Geniuses last weekend, making them the only team remaining in the LCS without a loss to their record. The only real question this team has for summer is whether they’ll be able to get that perfect split that eluded them in the spring.
