LCS Summer 2020: Week 2 Player Power Ranking
By Josh Tyler
Our LCS Week 2 player power ranking ranks the supports and we hand out our weekly awards.
Support
1. Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme (Cloud9)
2. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam (Evil Geniuses)
3. Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in (Team Liquid)
CoreJJ went full sicko mode in their game against 100 Thieves, hitting every single Blitzcrank grab he threw. With a premiere ADC in Tactical, the former World Champion has returned to form as one of the most dominant supports in the LCS.
4. Lee “Ignar” Dong-geun (FlyQuest)
5. Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun (Golden Guardians)
6. Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (TSM)
Biofrost got a lot of deserved flak for some abysmal play on Nautilus in the team’s loss to FlyQuest. A lot of the issues were comp-related, sure, but Bio often misplayed situations with his hook, either going in too deep or not making it out in time. With 3.3 deaths per game and six unforced deaths so far this split, Bio needs to shake it off and come back strong next week.
7. Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black (Dignitas)
8. Andy “Smoothie” Ta (CLG)
9. William “Stunt” Chen (100 Thieves)
10. Austin “Gate” Yu (Immortals)
Gate is averaging over 4.3 deaths per game and has only a 61.1% kill participation. Surely Hakuho can’t be worse than this, can he Immortals?
