Rising Picks
She’s been cropping up in pro play, but she’s also invading the mid lane in solo queue. Karma had the biggest rise of all mid laners in Patch 10.13. Luckily for us, she’s still just in the D tier.
Dropping Picks
On the other hand, Taliyah had the biggest drop-off from patch to patch. She dropped an entire tier in Patch 10.13, now in the F tier.
Underrated Picks
She’s the lowest-rated mid laner in our A tier, but she also has the lowest pick rate of A tier mids. Annie is our pick for the most underrated mid laner this patch.
Overrated Picks
Once again, Leblanc and Sylas are our two most overrated mid lane picks, as both have a top-ten pick rate but are below A tier.
Buffed Champions
Lucian
Just like in the top lane, buffs to Lucian’s Piercing Light didn’t make him much stronger in the mid lane.
Nocturne
We’ll mention here that Nocturne is just about in the same spot as he was in Patch 10.12 after the buffs. Unsurprising, given that the buffs were specifically targeted at his jungle clear.
Ryze
Small buffs to Ryze didn’t help him too much in the mid lane either, he’s still about where he was in the last patch.
Nerfed Champions
Cassiopeia
As we discussed in our top lane breakdown, the MR nerfs were probably going to hit Cassiopeia harder in mid lane. However, the data shows only a slight drop to her ranking after the nerfs.
Syndra
Nerfs to Syndra’s Dark Sphere mana cost did give Syndra a sizeable hit to her ranking in the mid lane. In Patch 10.13, we saw her drop out of the A tier down into the high-B tier as a result of the nerfs.
