LCS Summer 2020 Week 3 is in the books, here is where the teams sit in our LCS power rankings.

3. Team Liquid (4-2)

Elo: 452 (-27)

Sorry to say, but we really didn’t learn much of anything from Team Liquid this weekend. Losing to Cloud9 and beating Dignitas are basically the free win and auto-loss spaces on any LCS team’s schedule.

On the balance, though, I’m more impressed by how TL was able to hang with Cloud9 throughout the early game, hanging with the best team in the LCS punch-for-punch. It was discouraging that it took them so long to close out Dignitas the next day, but at least they held and built the gold lead consistently on their way to the win.

2. Evil Geniuses (4-2)

Elo: 466 (-108)

A loss to TSM eliminated any possibility that EG could be considered a true threat to Cloud9 (well, honestly that was never an actual threat) and took them out of the possibility of being alone in second-place after Week 3. Good on them to not have too much trouble taking down Dignitas in their free win of the week as well. With Immortals on the schedule next week and a match against FlyQuest, EG has a fantastic opportunity to put some separation between themselves and the rest of the pack in the LCS.

1. Cloud9 (6-0)

Elo: 585 (-40)

I mean, do I really need to say anything else about Cloud9? They’re the best team in the league and they’re entirely unchallenged so far this split.

Their latest victims were Team Liquid and Immortals. Now, TL actually managed to put up a decent showing, taking the early lead for about the first 25 minutes of the game, when C9 managed to turn a pick onto Jensen into a Baron that they snowballed into a victory.
