LCS Summer 2020 Week 7 is in the books, here is where the teams sit in our  LCS power rankings.

5. Evil Geniuses (7-7)

Elo: 371 (-16)

Remaining schedule: TSM, FlyQuest, Golden Guardians, 100 Thieves
Average elo of remaining opponents: 373

I’m sorry, but you cannot lose that game to Dignitas EG. That is a game you have to win down the stretch in the playoffs, especially if you want to ensure you’re in the upper bracket, nevermind side selection in the first round. That loss likely cost them a surefire playoff spot and an upper bracket spot, which hurts even more looking at their remaining schedule.

To be clear, EG can easily beat any of the four teams left on their schedule. They can also just as easily lose all four of those games. A final record of 7-11 will still likely get them into the playoffs (they own the tiebreaker over Immortals, but would have to play a tiebreaker if they are tied with Dignitas) and I expect they will finish with a better record than that. Still, they would have made their lives incredibly easy if they had an extra game cushion to keep them out of that loser’s bracket.

Playoff chances: 95%
Upper bracket chances: 40%

4. FlyQuest (8-6)

Elo: 400 (+38)

Remaining schedule: 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, CLG, Immortals
Average elo of remaining opponents: 320

The team with the easiest remaining schedule in the LCS, FlyQuest got a massive boost with their 2-0 Week 7 that included a shocking victory over Team Liquid. At this point, FlyQuest are basically a mortal lock for playoffs (even though they’re not mathematically clinched yet) and for the upper bracket. They might even have a shot at a first-round bye if they manage to win all of these (very winnable) games and Cloud9/Team Liquid both continue their recent runs of dropping questionable games.

I’d expect FlyQuest will take at least three of the games remaining, perhaps all four, and end with 11 or 12 wins. That will easily be enough to put them in the upper bracket for the Summer 2020 playoffs.

Playoff chances: 99%
Upper bracket chances: 75%
First-round bye chances: 33%
