Why do these champions dominate pro play but suck in solo queue?

9. Bard

Why he’s good in pro play: The highest-damage support, maybe in the game, Bard can be oppressive in lanes while also providing his team with unique ways to enter or exit fights. His ultimate, of course, is the ultimate game-changer, as it can start or end fights, used for catch or disengage.

Why he sucks in solo queue: Bard’s ult is fantastic in coordinated team play, where you can tell your teammates where and when you’re throwing it. In solo queue, though, not so much. How many times has your allied Bard accidentally interrupted your perfect Ashe Glacial Arrow because you both threw the skills at the same time?

10. Galio

Why he’s good in pro play: Galio’s ultimate is maybe the best follow-up engage ability in the entire game, granting a shield to his allies while doing heavy damage and knocking up enemies in its radius. This is why Galio is so often picked along with champions that love to dive in like Jarvan, Nocturne, and Camille.

Why he sucks in solo queue: He’s basically half-tank, half-AP carry and just doesn’t output enough damage to make him a viable solo carry. His ult and CC, while nice, really require you to have competent teammates to enable his kit to succeed.
