The last week of LCS Summer 2020 has a lot at stake with spots in the playoffs still up for grabs.

CLG

At 5-11 they own the last playoff spot for now. With FlyQuest and Cloud9 left on the schedule it doesn’t look like the record is going to get better. With just a single game lead on Dignitas and Immortals, and 0-2 weekend could spell disaster for CLG. However, CLG des get a bit of a reprieve as Dignitas and Immortals both have Week 9 schedules that could see them both go 0-2 and stay with four wins leaving CLG in the eighth seed.

Dignitas

4-12 and still in the running for a playoff spot, but it doesn’t look good. A matchup with Cloud9 Friday night pretty much could end Dignitas’ season. Though if they go 2-0 and 100 Thieves and CLG go 0-2 they could force a tiebreaker with 100 Thieves for the seventh, or eighth seed. Seeing this team in playoffs certainly looks like a long shot, but we’ll have to see if they’re able to do it!

Immortals

Also with a 4-12 record Immortals needs a 2-0 week to even have a chance. But with Flyquest and Liquid on the schedule, it seems likely that they will fail to make the postseason.

If they go 2-0 they would lose the tiebreaker to 100 Thieves head-to-head if both teams end up with six wins.  If they end up with the same number of wins as CLG or Dignitas they would have to play a tiebreaker game. Immortals has a good chance to miss the playoffs this split.
