League of Legends Patch 10.18 Preview: Sett Set for Nerfs

Sett is on course to receive big nerfs on League of Legends Patch 10.18

One week after the release of the bite-size Patch 10.17 (or Patch 10.16b), the League of Legends balance team has teased the next set of champion updates with the Patch 10.18 preview.

Riot Scruffy, the lead gameplay designer for League of Legends, jumped on Twitter on Tuesday, 25 August, and posted a full list of tentative changes heading to Summoner’s Rift on Patch 10.18. Included are 12 champion changes and 1 rune change in an attempt to rebalance the game and adjust some of the biggest outliers in the current meta.

Potentially the most impactful change of the patch – in both pro play and solo queue – is Sett’s Pit Grit and Knuckle Down nerfs. As an excellent flex pick and crowd control machine, the Boss boasts an extremely high presence in the current meta. The balance team has sought to change that with two nerfs that will definitely have a big effect on Sett’s win rate.

In terms of buffs, Ahri and Kayle are set to receive the largest ones on Patch 10.18. Ahri’s skills are to be updated and Fox-Fire is set to become a much more useful ability rather than a relatively ineffective DPS boost. Kayle, on the other hand, could receive a big boost in the form of a Starfire Spellblade cooldown buff.
