Rising Picks

Another unorthodox support pick, Pantheon, was the champion with the biggest rise this patch.

Dropping Picks

To the joy of many, Yuumi fell the most of any support in Patch 10.17, dropping out of the A tier into the mid-B tier.

Underrated Picks

Janna, with a pick rate of about 3.6%, is now the most underrated support of the patch.

Overrated Picks

Both Karma and Nautilus are still overrated picks for the support role, but now that Yuumi has fallen out of the A tier she joins the group as well!

Nerfed Champions

Lux

Even though the Prismatic Barrier nerfs were aimed at support, Lux actually improved in the ranking this patch. She is now an S tier support.

Sona

She got a bunch of nerfs to her base health, base mana, the damage on her Hymn of Valor, the heal on her Aria of Perseverance, and the movement speed on her Song of Celerity. All of the ability nerfs were based on her AP scaling, so you’d expect for the solo queue power to drop. Incredibly, though, Sona’s ranking as a support remained the same.
