TFT Fates: Ranking Every Single Origin and Class in Set 4
By Josh Tyler
We have our first look at TFT: Fates, so let’s break down every single trait coming to Set 4.
3. Divine
Description: Upon attacking six times or dropping below 50% health, Divine units ascend, taking 25% reduced damage and dealing 20/40/65/100% bonus true damage for the rest of combat. (2/4/6/8 units).
Champions
- Wukong (1g)
- Jax (2g)
- Irelia (3g)
- Lux (3g)
- Warwick (4g)
- Lee Sin (5g)
Thoughts: This is a very high-risk/high-reward Origin because you aren’t getting the bonus from it until your units are already quite low (or they have a ton of attack speed). This means that they might just get completely bursted down before they can even start dealing the true damage unless they have some major healing to bring them back up to full health.
4. Elderwood
Description: Every two seconds all Elderwood champions grow, gaining bonus stats. This effect stacks up to five times (3/6/9 units).
Champions
- Maokai (1g)
- Lulu (2g)
- Hecarim (2g)
- Nunu (3g)
- Veigar (3g)
- Ashe (4g)
- Ezreal (5g)
Thoughts: The champions gain armor, MR, AD, and spell power each time they grow, so this class is quite flexible that it can be used to create a strong tank line or boost up your damage dealers. This will be a pretty strong to OP comp if the carries are good.
5. Dusk
Description: Increase all allies Spell Power by 20/20+40/50+100% (2/4/6 units)
Champions
- Vayne (1g)
- Thresh (2g)
- Riven (4g)
- Cassiopeia (4g)
- Lillia (5g)
Thoughts: This is just a better version of Sorcerers from Set 3. One interesting aspect is that at 4 and 6 units, the Dusk champions themselves will also get some additional bonus spell power (for instance, at 6 units all allies get 50% bonus spell power but Dusk champions get 150% bonus spell power). I think this could be a nice complementary trait where you get a couple of Dusk champions to amp your main carries, but it won’t be OP unless the units themselves are quite strong.
