We have our first look at TFT: Fates, so let’s break down every single trait coming to Set 4.

Classes

1. Hunter

Description: Every three seconds, all Hunters will attack the lowest health enemy, dealing 100/150/200/250% bonus damage (2/3/4/5 units)

Champions

  • Aphelios (2g)
  • Kindred (3g)
  • Warwick (4g)
  • Ashe (4g)

Thoughts: Double damage against the lowest-health enemy every three seconds is insane. Yes, there’s the possibility that your Hunter will switch focus from a priority target, but honestly getting a near-execute every three seconds is massive. I fully expect that this will be nerfed so abuse it on Set 4’s release.

2. Duelist

Description: Duelists move faster. Duelists’ attacks grant 10/20/40/100% Attack Speed, up to 7 stacks (2/4/6/8 units)

Champions

  • Yasuo (1g)
  • Fiora (1g)
  • Jax (2g)
  • Kalista (3g)
  • Xin Zhao (3g)
  • Lee Sin (1g)

Thoughts: This is a better version of the Chrono buff in Set 3 since Duelists will gain the attack speed based on their attacks rather than after a certain amount of time. Chrono was either a central Origin or a strong complementary Origin throughout Set 3, so I’d anticipate Duelists will often be very strong.

3. Mystic

Description: All allies have 40/100 bonus MR (2/4 units).

Champions

  • Janna (2g)
  • Yuumi (3g)
  • Cassiopiea (4g)
  • Zilean (4g)

Thoughts: Mystics are always a good splash Class, but in Set 3 they started becoming a comp you can build around with Cassiopeia. Now that she’s back for Set 4, I’m anticipating she will be a carry people look to build around.
