TFT Fates: Ranking Every Single Origin and Class in Set 4
By Josh Tyler
We have our first look at TFT: Fates, so let’s break down every single trait coming to Set 4.
10. Vanguard
Description: Vanguards gain 100/200/500 bonus armor (2/4/6 units).
Champions
- Garen (1g)
- Wukong (1g)
- Hecarim (2g)
- Thresh (2g)
- Sejuani (4g)
- Aatrox (4g)
Thoughts: Vanguards are another splash Class that’s almost always decent to have but, unlike Mystics, it’s very rare you prioritize it. If one or two of these Vanguards like Hecarim, Garen, Wukong, or Aatrox have serious carry potential, though, we could very well see a full Vanguard comp come into the meta.
11. Adept
Description: Adepts calm the flow of battle, reducing the Attack Speed of all enemies by 50% for 3/5/8 seconds at the start of combat. (2/3/4 units)
Champions
- Irelia (3g)
- Shen (4g)
- Yone (5g)
Thoughts: This is a very strong anti-attack speed Class which would be super powerful if Blademasters were in Set 4. As it is now, this Class will only be strong against certain comps, which makes it niche and not that strong.
12. Dazzler
Description: Dazzlers reduce their target’s Attack Damage by 50% for 5/10 seconds (2/4 units).
Champions
- Lissandra (1g)
- Lux (3g)
- Cassiopeia (4g)
- Morgana (4g)
- Ezreal (5g)
Thoughts: This will be a strong counter to Assassins, Warlords, and Hunters, but against spell-damage comps it will be useless. It’s therefore fairly limited and not reliable as a comp to build around consistently.
13. Emperor
Description: Emperors deploy with two additional units that can be moved separately. Troops rally to their Emperor when they cast, and die when their Emperor dies.
Champions
- Azir (5g)
Thoughts: Another one-unit Class and, while it’s going to be super useful to have extra units on the field, this Class depends on whether or not Azir is OP, not the Class.
