Could FlyQuest be the ideal landing spot for Licorice?

1. FlyQuest

There are probably a large number of people wondering why FlyQuest should be front and center to buyout Licorice. The organization just came off their most successful year ever with back-to-back LCS finals appearances and a trip to worlds where they took a game off tournament favorite Top Esports.

The fact remains that FlyQuest did not win the LCS either split last year. They always felt just one step behind their opponents, and while the obvious answer for many is to upgrade their AD Carry, the main avenue TSM abused FlyQuest during the summer finals was through top lane.

Solo just had the best season of his career and his performance was the reason FlyQuest was able to transform from a middle-of-the-pack team to an LCS contender. However, like all great teams before them, in order to become a true world-class team, you must not settle for anything but first. If FlyQuest were able to add Licorice they would not only be a favorite to win the LCS but also have a significantly better chance at competing on the international stage.

It seems remarkable the organization would find itself in such a position just one year after their embarrassing exit from the regional gauntlet. It is also worth mentioning Santorin is a free agent this offseason. Perhaps the priority of re-signing their jungler will put a large buyout just out of their reach, but fortune favors the bold.
