4. Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas (FlyQuest)

Josedeodo made a name for himself during the bootcamp leading up to Worlds 2020 for his high rank on the Chinese super server. Even though his and Rainbow7’s results at the tournament were disappointing, FlyQuest saw enough to sign the LLA product to join their rebuilt roster. It’s a gamble that I think will pay off, as Josedeodo proved to be an elite jungler in the LLA last year.

Even accounting for the low quality of competition, Josedeodo’s mind-boggling stats are enough to warrant his high ranking on this list. He’s going to be a very good player in the LCS.

To start, he is one of only three players (with Santorin and Broxah) to post an aKDA above 4.00. Even though his regular KDA was the lowest of those three players, Josedeodo was at the top of the list because of his low deaths per game.

He also proved to be a very adept early game jungler, posting an MAGXD @ 15 of 451.8, the second-best mark of all LCS junglers entering the next season. Yes, we must account for the fact that Josedeodo was likely able to bully less-talented competition in the LLA, but he was over 300 DPM clear of the average for junglers when taking the matchup into account.

There are some downsides to Josedeodo that he will have to improve heading into 2021. His gold per minute (320) and estimated damage differential (-28.4) are below average.

The biggest problem, though, is that he has one of the smallest champion pools of all junglers. He played 17 unique champions, yes, but there was a large spread of champions played. He really only had three champions he could play reliably – Lee Sin, Graves, and Trundle – and he didn’t post elite stats on any of them.
