We break down why each of the League of Legends champions in the VGU poll should, or shouldn’t, be the pick for an update.

Quinn

Pros: Quinn is kind of a nomad in League of Legends right now. She’s an ability-slinging, early game fighting, short-ranged marksman, who doesn’t really fit in the top lane or ADC roles. Her kit is also supposed to feature her and Valor acting together as a team, which has never been fully realized.

Cons: While Quinn isn’t a fully meta champion, she does have a solid place in the solo queue and even competitive meta as a top laner. She can be a situational counter for pro players against Renekton and can even flex into jungle or ADC for pro play.

Skarner

Pros: He already got a rework back with the tanks like Sejuani and Zac, but it never really took off. Players have to deal with his weird spirals on Summoner’s Rift now, and Skarner only exists in the meta if he and his items are ridiculously overpowered.

Cons: Not only might this devastate Captain Flowers, Skarner already feels very good to play from the jungle. He’s the perfect bruiser who can run at you and CC you down, doing enough damage to feel useful while also not being so damage-heavy that he’s oppressive. His ult is iconic and should not be touched, nor should his unique crystal aesthetic.
