Fnatic extends contract to bring back Hylissang

Fnatic’s superstar support Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov has chosen to sign on with the team for another run according to the press video released by the team. With them set to play at Worlds 2021, it’s not a surprise that the team chose to lock him in for another couple years, especially since no one pegged them to make it here. His play was a pivotal role in the success of the team and it’s great to see that he’ll be staying with the team for the years to come.

According to the reports the team has signed Hylissang to a two-year extension that’ll have him signed on into 2023. There are no details on what he’ll be paid but it’s to be expected that he’ll be receiving a pretty penny because of his importance to the team. Hylissang is a longtime veteran to the game whose experience and skill is an invaluable asset to Fnatic.

Since signing with the team in 2017, Hylissang has remained their starting support the entire way through. He’s helped get them to Worlds multiple years and even helped them capture a second-place finish back in 2018. He’s no stranger to high-pressure moments and is a player that’s known for performing when the lights are brightest.

Hylissang proved his worth once again this year leading Fnatic to another Worlds berth after finishing 6th in the Summer Split standings. His shot-calling and leadership from the bottom lane helped rally the team past Misfits, G2, and Rogue when many thought they didn’t stand a chance in the playoffs. He’s an invaluable member of the roster and it’ll be a treat to see what Fnatic will do in the LEC these next few years with him at the helm.
