LCS 2021: Dardoch Reported To Be Making A Pro Return In 2022
Dardoch looking to take his talents to… Europe?
According to a report from EsportManicos sources believe that former LCS Jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett is pushing for a return to the pro scene in 2022. Dardoch played his last game for Dignitas before taking a break from the scene. A return to NA seems fitting but according to “close sources” Dardoch would like to venture outside of the NA region for his comeback.
Dardoch reportedly is weighing contract offers from the LCS, LLA, and ERL. Out of the three regions he’d like to play in Europe the most. Despite an LEC offer he’s even willing to play in the ERL to showcase his ability until one does come in.
In a surprising turn of events, we saw Dardoch return to the LCS after leaving Dignitas in 2021. But instead of a playing position, he took on a coaching role for Immortals. Unfortunately, they missed out on the playoffs but it wasn’t without a hard fight to the finish with DIG beating them out for the last spot by two games.
Since joining the pro scene in 2014 Dardoch has had some solid moments but not the greatest team success. There’ve been a lot of middle-of-the-pack finishes, which don’t look very good on his resume. Plus, the success of Dignitas following his departure doesn’t speak well on his behalf.
He’s built up a reputation through his professional career for being a problem in the locker room and it’ll need to be resolved before he ends up on another team.
It would be great to see Dardoch return to the pro scene. He was without a doubt one of the most notable personalities in the game. Hopefully, in his next go-around he’ll be able to build his team up without the same issues that plagued the teams he was previously a part of.
