Hylissang debuts Renata to the LEC in quite a big way. Excel finally manage to make playoffs on their seventh try.

BDS vs FNC

Fnatic make quick work of a still-struggling BDS as Hylissang debuts Europe’s first Renata game, earning BlogOfLegends MVP for his incredible performance. The best support in Europe looked very comfortable on League’s newest champion, and his consistent accuracy with Renata’s Q – Handshake, was very reminiscent of his antics on Pyke. He was able to snowball Upset for a few early kills and then roamed like he always does to set up plays for his team alongside Humanoid. Hylissang has had a career defining split in 2022 Spring, and this could be attributed to many things: the new influx of rookies, brand-new teams that need synergy, or the loss of highly touted players going overseas. Nevertheless, the Professor looks frankly unstoppable as Fnatic make a surge to the top of the standings with a dominating victory.

XL vs SK

Excel make organizational history as they finally qualify for playoffs in an utterly brutal stomping of SK Gaming. SK’s squad, who have been prone to upsetting teams all split, could not muster any sort of defense to save their lives as they get trampled from all sides by the surging XL lineup. Finn earns his fourth BlogofLegends MVP, tying franchise player Patrik, with a sublime Gnar performance that found him constantly landing pivotal ultimates so his carries can just rip through the enemy team. Patrik was his usual self, spacing to near-perfection as he mowed down SK members alongside Nukeduck, who had a rebound Ryze game after getting humiliated by Caps’ Azir yesterday. It is a momentous day for Excel management and the LEC as the British organization finally manages to make it into playoffs for the first time on their seventh try, 1142 days after they joined the league.
