MSF vs FNC

Surely they can’t keep getting away with this… Well, I for one, sure hope they do because it makes for the most exhilarating games of the split as Misfits teamfight their way out of a 25 minute, 8k gold lead off the back of some of the best teamfighting I have seen in a long time from Neon. His mastery of Jinx definitely ranks amongst the elite in the entirety of Western bot laners as he navigates the most treacherous of teamfights not once but twice, with sublime position, incredible reaction speeds and lightning fast auto attack cancels to propel Misfits over Fnatic and tie them in the standings. When he started having his good Jinx games back in Week 5, I joked that I would have to see more consistency from him if I was to think of him as an elite EU ADC; he was always touted as a rising star but has had a lukewarm career at best. But what a split he’s having this spring, and alongside MVP frontrunner Vetheo, I am ready to call him one of the best Jinx players on the planet. The most impressive aspect of this victory was the fact that Vetheo was having one of his worse games throughout the split, and it was solely Neon’s deserving brilliance that puts Misfits toe to toe against giants like Fnatic and Rogue in the standings.

That being said, upcomers like Misfits have much to prove once it gets to the playoffs – their journey has not finished just yet, if anything, they are only halfway across. With more strenuous prep, teams would likely key into Neon’s comfort Jinx pick and slap a ban on it in the first round. Let’s see what the Slovakian ADC has in store for us in those scenarios.
