This telecom war saw more come out of KT than expected but T1 remain undefeated and tie their own record.

Game 1

A struggling KT who has failed to win a game in the second half of the round-robin brings up their challenger mid-lane in Vicla to take on Faker. Early in the game T1 oner would be invaded but would be able to sneak steal his red buff back and continue on. This was only the start of T1 making the best out of every situation and using strong macro in order to dominate their opponents.  At every turn, KT would attempt to skirmish and find a lead for themselves but T1 would use this to their own advantage. After a good skirmish for KT in the T1 red side, they would immediately hand a dragon over to T1 as well as allow them to freely roam and use the rift herald to take the bot lane tower. Plays like this occurred frequently throughout the first 20 minutes seeing T1 reach a large gold lead early. However, KT would not go down without a fight. A stunning performance from challenger player Vicla on Ahri would help lead KT to multiple skirmish victories and a huge victory at the 23-minute mark which would see KT wipe T1 3-0 and take baron freely. This would equal out the gold and see T1 default into a process to slow the game and scale-up for their carries. While the game remained close Zeus never failed to perform on the Kennen solo killing Rascal later in the game and coming through with huge ults that would eventually prove to be the difference-maker. Zeus would finish the game out damaging his lane opponent by 12,000 and lead to a T1 victory

Game 2

Kt continued to play to their strengths in this game. They showed up and used their pick and skirmish comp to its strengths throughout the game. Very little occurred through the first 20 minutes seeing little kills. KT would have a kill and gold lead but T1 would continue to be up by dragons and show a superior overall macro game. At the 23 minute mark, a huge clown fiesta fight would ensue that would see people dying respawning, and coming back into the long continuous fight. This fight overall led to a 3k gold lead for KT. A pick on Rascal would see T1 gain soul point but remain down in gold. The most important fight would occur shortly after at the Baron pit which saw Faker get caught out leading to a 4v5 for Baron. Oner would dive in and die instantly but Gumayusi, Zeus, and Keira win out the 3v5 in perfect fashion in order to create a lead and gain baron. The constant clown fiesta fighting would continue as T1 picked a fight around the dragon which would see a huge Gnar ult from KT’s Rascal that would take out the entirety of T1’s carries and lead to a strong 4-1 trade for KT.  Minutes later, Aiming would see the opportunity for a hero play diving into the entirety of T1 in an attempt to assassinate Gumayusi, leading to KT being nearly entirely wiped and T1 closing out the game. The Jinx pick for T1 was huge and saw Gumayusi doing incredible amounts of damage and carrying his team to remain undefeated and tie the record for most consecutive series wins to start a split at 14.
