League of Legends Naafiri: Splash Art, Abilities, and Skins

The newest League of Legends champion, Naafiri, has been revealed. Naafiri, a new mid lane assassin, is about to take over the Rift with their flashy execution.

League of Legends’ Naafiri is an exciting champion to be released. The last non-human/humanoid champion to be released was in May 2019 when Yuumi was released. This sentiment of releasing only human/human-like champions has been a small complaint from the community as of recent.

While this is not the confirmed splash art, leaks online support this to be the official splash art for League of Legends’ Naafiri.

Passive – We Are More
Naafiri spawns Packmates that attack the targets of her attacks and abilities.

Q – Darkin Daggers
Naafiri hurls up to two daggers, each inflicting bleed, or each inflicting bonus damage if the target is already bleeding.

Packmates leap to attack champions hit by this skill.

W – Hounds’ Pursuit
Naafiri and her packmates dash at an enemy, colliding with the first champion hit and dealing damage.

E – Eviscerate
Naafiri dashes and damages enemies in an area, recalling and healing her Packmates to full.

R – The Call of the Pack
Naafiri empowers her pack and spawns additional Packmates, gaining a burst of speed and vision and a shield when she attacks a champion.

On first champion takedown, all effects are refreshed.

At a glance, Naafiri is a straight-forward assassin who wants to fight around maintaining a high amount of Packmates. The more Packmates Naafiri has out, the greater their DPS is, meaning you want to look for fights the stronger your pack is.

While we don’t know the numbers of Naafiri’s kit, effects like their bleed will likely have a big impact on this champion’s damage output. The mobility, gap-closing, and ability reset mechanics are there – but will the damage? (probably).

It will be interesting to see how Naafiri is utilized once they are released: there may be potential for different builds, and different positions for the new champion.

Currently, there is no leaked images of Naafiri’s release skin. Leakers are currently claiming it to be Soul Fighter Naafiri, although no word from Riot Games on this matter yet.
