In the quest to be the best overall region at Worlds let’s see how each region did during Swiss round two.

LEC

Number of teams in the round: 4

Number of teams eliminated: 0

Round two record: 3-1

Overall Worlds record: 4-4

The LEC looked strong on day two, with Fnatic, G2 and Mad Lions all securing victories. Though BDS lost it was a head-to-head against Mad Lions.  However, the 0-2 mark puts BDS in danger of elimination with another loss. G2 is now the lone western team to go 2-0 . Can they keep the momentum heading into Swiss round three?

LCS

Number of teams in the round: 3

Number of teams eliminated: 0

Round two record: 1-2

Overall Worlds record: 2-4

LNG bested Cloud9 on day two dropping them to the .500 mark. NRG bested Team Liquid in an all- LCS clash.  This loss puts Team Liquid up for elimination. After two rounds the LCS is looking like the worst of the four major regions at worlds.

LPL

Number of teams in the round: 4

Number of teams eliminated: 0

Round two record: 2-2

Overall Worlds record:6-2

LNG took down Cloud9 to move to 2-1. Weibo fell to G2 to go to 1-1. Through the most anticipated matchup saw JD Gaming and Bilibilli do battle yet again. It wasn’t close as JD Gaming crushed them to move to 2-0 and drop Bilibili to 1-1.

LCK

Number of teams in the round: 4

Number of teams eliminated: 0

Round two record: 2-2

Overall Worlds record: 4-4

It was all LCK rematches on day two of Worlds. Gen.G bested T1 and KT Rolster defeated Dplus. This evened out the LCK’s overall record to 4-4. Dplus KIA is the first of the LCK teams to be put up for elimination.

GAM fell to Fnatic during Swiss round two. This puts GAM in danger of elimination.

In the overall standings, the LPL is the top region with a 6-2 overall record. The LCK and LEC are tied for second best at 4-4.
