Teamfight Tactics Patch 14.2: Every Balance Change Detailed

Get ready for nerfs to Disco, a rework to Karthus, Set 3.5 Revival and much more in TFT Patch 14.2.

Teamfight Tactics Patch 14.2 notes and details were released Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. ET detailing a wave of changes coming to the popular auto-battler.

TFT Patch 14.2 introduces new Chibi Tacticians, the Lunar Festival and Set 3.5 Revival: Galaxies game mode. There will be plenty of themed cosmetics for players to earn alongside new Event Passes. There will be a Lunar Festival Pass alongside the Remix Rumble Act 2 Pass. The Loadout Randomizer is also here allowing players to shuffle which Tactician, Arena and Boom they have each game.

Though, what most players are focused on are balance changes. There are some system updates, Headliner changes plus buffs and nerfs to units and augments. Here's the full list of balance changes in TFT Patch 14.2.

TFT Patch 14.2: System Changes

Overall Systems

  • Cruel Pact augment can no longer be offered in the Radiant Blessing portal
  • Silver Symphony and Decrescendo have been removed
  • AD Carry units are now recommended Red Buff over Edge of Night
  • AD Caster units are now recommended Red Buff over Edge of Night and Hand of Justice over Bloodthirster
  • Updated a Headliner rule that blocked units that shared a trait with a previously offered Headliner. This rule should now only block the trait skipped from being the Headliner and still allow the unit to appear as their other trait

TFT Patch 14.2: All Trait Changes

Disco (Nerfed)

  • Disco Attack Speed Per Tick: Changed from 5/10/15/20% to 5/8/12/20%
  • Disco Healing Per Tick: Changed from 2/3/3/5 to 2/3/3/4%

Punk (Buffed)

  • Punk AD: Changed from 17/28/42% to 18/30/45%
  • Punk HP: Changed from 170/280/420 to 180/300/450

Mosher (Buffed)

  • Mosher Attack Speed: Changed from 20/40/60% to 20/40/70%

TFT Patch 14.2: All Unit Changes

Tier 1 Units

  • Jinx - AD buffed from 45 to 50
  • Kennen - HP buffed from 650 to 700
  • K'Sante - Spell Base Damage Reduction reduced from 25% to 20%
  • Corki - Spell Damage increased from 300% AD to 320% AD
  • Lillia - Mana decreased from 70/130 to 70/120
  • Yasuo - Spell Damage nerfed from 300% AD to 280% AD

Tier 2 Units

  • Katarina - Spell Damage buffed from 140/210/315% AP to 150/225/340% AP
  • Kayle (REWORK) - Now passively deals magic damage on each hit. Active now immediately deals the AoE (finale) damage and applies Shred, Mana nerfed from 0/30 to 0/120
  • Jax - Attack Speed increased from 0.85 to 0.9

Tier 3 Units

  • Lulu - Spell Third Cast Damage buffed from 120/180/280% AP to 150/225/360% AP
  • Riven - Ability Damage nerfed from 100% AD to 90% AD
  • Urgot (REWORK) - Now deals 50% bonus damage if his spell only hits one target, Spell Damage nerfed from 175/175/180% AD + 15/25/40% AP to 160/160/165% AD + 15/25/40% AP
  • Vex - Stun duration nerfed from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds
  • Miss Fortune - Spell Damage buffed from 280/280/290% AD to 295/295/305% AD

Tier 4 Units

Karthus Rework Details

  • Ability will always critically strike if able to
  • Gains bonus Ability Power based on Critical Strike Chance
  • No longer gains mana from kills, now gains 30% AP after each cast
  • Mana - Changed from 30/120 to 15/105
  • Ability Damage - Changed from 270/405/900 to 175/260/580

Twisted Fate

  • Mana increased from 30/105 to 30/120
  • Card Damage decreased from 50/75/225

Ezreal

  • Spell Damage (single target) increased from 350/350/700% AD to 370/370/740% AD

Poppy

  • Spell healing on hit buffed from 5/5/5% HP to 5/5/10% HP

Tier 5 Units

Sona

  • Heal Form - Sona will no longer send her healing auto attacks at non-champions (dummies and Illaoi tentacles) unless they're the last units alive
  • Attack Speed and Ability Power Forms - Sona can no longer target training dummies and Illaoi tentacles

Headliners

Kai'Sa

  • Increased AD percentage from 15% to 25% (Still has +2 range and dashes farther)

Yone

  • Bonus HP and AD percentage nerfed from +200 HP and +20% AD to +150 HP and +15% AD

TFT Patch 14.2: All Augment Changes

  • Bigger Shot - Damage increased from 75% AD to 85% AD
  • Heartthrobs (REWORK): You now gain 20% more Heartsteel Hearts instead of keeping 20% each time you get rewards
  • Last Stand Bonus Stats: Nerfed from +180 HP, 18 Armor/MR and 18% Omnivamp to +160 HP, 16 Armor/MR and 16% Omnivamp
  • Submit to the Pit - Mosher stats increased from +3 Armor/MR/AP/AD/AS to +4
  • Too Big to Fail - Damage decreased from 40% HP to 35% HP
  • Twin Terror 1 - Critical Strike Chance removed, Health increased from 250 to 350, Attack Speed increased from 25% to 35%
  • Twin Terror 2 - Critical Strike Chance removed, Health increased from 350 to 500, Attack Speed increased from 35% to 50%
  • Good for Something - Gold drop chance increased from 30% to 35%
  • Lategame Specialist - Gold increased from 30 to 33

TFT Patch 14.2: All Item Changes

  • Thief's Gloves are less likely to roll ideal items at Level 7, 8 and 9
  • Goldmancer's Staff - Gold per Kill decreased from 2 to 1
