Riot Games announced that their popular autobattler Teamfight Tactics (TFT) will come to mobile devices this Thursday!

There has been a ton of radio silence from Riot Games ever since they announced that TFT Set 3 would be releasing in March, with TFT Mobile releasing soon after. There was no date for the launch of TFT Mobile in that announcement and, although we’ve since learned when Set 3 will drop (tomorrow), we never heard what the status of the mobile version was. Until now.

That’s right, Riot Games officially announced today that TFT Mobile will be available for download this Thursday, March 19!

The incredibly popular autobattler, which boasts over 80 million players worldwide since it launched last year, will be Riot’s first-ever mobile game. The game will be available for download from the App Store and Google Play.

This means that, yes, TFT Mobile is launching alongside Set 3: Galaxies and will include the same units, arenas, rule set, and balance that TFT proper runs on. Moreover, the game is confirmed to have PC/Mobile crossplay, meaning that you will be able to play with and against your friends on PC or their mobile devices!

But, if you’re worried that the mobile version is just a watered-down, gimmicky version of the normal TFT, fret not! Riot Games has confirmed that the mobile game will have the following features on release:

  • The Galaxies Pass and Galaxies Pass + to earn rewards that will cross between your PC and mobile device (meaning you won’t lose progress by playing on one versus the other).
  • The new Booms! cosmetic (personalized damage animations).
  • A new player tutorial for the mobile version.
  • The Galaxies Little Legends.
  • The Galaxies-themed arena skins.
  • Ranked play!
