Here are the 5 best top laners on Patch 10.7 for carrying games and climbing the League of Legends ranked ladder!

League of Legends players complaining about the lack of diversity in the top lane will probably be regretting voicing their opinion now that reworked Wukong is on the scene. The Monkey King joins our list of the 5 best top laners on Patch 10.7:

5) Garen

50.01% Win Rate | 8.4% Pick Rate | 13.4% Ban Rate

Garen has received nerfs in three of the last four patch updates in an attempt to reduce his dominance in the top lane. Finally, after months of effort, the balance team has finally achieved that goal.

Perseverance now has a +1 second cooldown to activate, damaging Garen’s ability to regenerate health freely during the laning phase, and Decisive Strike’s movement speed duration has also fallen.

The combination of these two Patch 10.7 changes and previous nerfs Garen received has resulted in him falling from the S+ tier of top lane down to the A tier. However, he still makes the top five due to the number of bans he’s hit with during champion select, making his priority quite high among solo queue top laners.

4) Fiora

50.96% Win Rate | 8.0% Pick Rate | 11.4% Ban Rate

If you’re willing to put time into learning the intricacies of her kit, Fiora is the most deadly 1v1 top laner in League of Legends and the perfect choice if you want to single-handedly carry games and find wins.

In lane, the Grand Duelist can safely trade with her opponent by proc’ing Duelist’s Dance, increasing the damage against her target while also healing herself.

When it comes to the late game, Fiora is an unstoppable split pusher, often requiring two enemies to shut her down before she destroys their base. This is due to the immense 1v1 power of Grand Challenge and the utility offered by Riposte which has the potential to block key ultimates or high damage abilities from an enemy champion.

3) Sett

50.47% Win Rate | 10.6% Pick Rate | 26.9% Ban Rate

The Boss is climbing up the top lane tier list and has his eyes set on reclaiming the #1 spot. Sett’s high defensive stats, annoyingly destructive abilities, and game-changing ultimate all add together to make one of the highest priority champions in League of Legends right now.

If you’re looking to add Sett to your top lane champion pool, it’s important that you nail down his combos beforehand. Pair Facebreaker with two Knuckle Down auto-attacks to kick off a trade, then follow up with a Haymaker, ensuring you hit your opponent with the center of the ability.

When it comes to The Show Stopper, when split pushing it should be used as an escape tool or for damage during a trade. However, when it comes to team fighting, try and find a flank to pick up a backline squishy and carry them into your team for a quick kill on a high priority target.

2) Darius

50.53% Win Rate | 9.7% Pick Rate | 41.1% Ban Rate

Since the start of Season 10, Darius has been a mainstay of the top lane S tier thanks to his excellent dueling power and ability to snowball a lead out of control.

During the laning phase, kills are a breeze, especially if you have jungle assistance. Simply walk up to your lane opponent, cast Apprehend to close the gap, then throw out a Decimate and Crippling Strike for some high burst damage and a slow. From there, your opponent either has to flash or attempt to fight back while bleeding from Darius’ Passive – Hemorrhage.

Nailing down Darius’ early game is key to mastering the champion as from there you simply have to follow your team around the map and dominate team fights. Once you’ve used Noxian Guillotine 3-4 times in a fight, you know you’ve got to grips with the Hand of Noxus.

1) Wukong

52.40% Win Rate | 6.1% Pick Rate | 48.1% Ban Rate

Unsurprisingly, Wukong’s rework has caused havoc on Summoner’s Rift as his kit is simply too overpowered right now. Despite receiving some small nerfs on Patch 10.7, the Monkey King remains the highest presence top laner in the game right now.

There’s only one top for playing Wukong in the current meta: On blue side, first pick him. On red side, ban him at all costs.
