Our LCS Summer 2020 Week 6 player power ranking ranks the supports and we hand out our weekly awards.

Support

1. Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme (Cloud9) – 93.8
2. Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in (Team Liquid) – 88.6

I mean…CoreJJ just played outside of his mind this week. 1/0/22 in two games on Bard is absolutely absurd, with CoreJJ hitting seemingly every single ult. He won Player of the Week and probably ensured that no team will ever leave Bard up against him for the rest of Summer 2020.

3. Lee “Ignar” Dong-geun (FlyQuest) – 85.4
4. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam (Evil Geniuses) – 83.7
5. Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent (Immortals) – 82.1
6. Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun (Golden Guardians) – 81.3
7. Erik “Treatz” Wessén (TSM) – 78.6

In his LCS debut, Treatz performed about as I expected, well but not stellar. His 0/3/8 scoreline is quite impressive, but his laning was subpar. In the two games, he had a -500 gold differential and -17 XPD at fifteen minutes. In addition, he was quite mediocre in two of the most important statistics for supports.

His vision score per minute (2.58) is just slightly below average but his kill participation (50%) is absolutely abysmal. Now part of that is attributable to the fact that TSM had only 12 kills total in their two games this weekend, but I honestly didn’t see much out of Treatz in terms of helping to make their bot lane more dominant or find more creative initiations. It’s almost as though TSM’s main problems this year are far bigger than who is playing in the support role.

8. Philippe “Poome” Lavoie-Giguere (100 Thieves) – 78.5
9. Andy “Smoothie” Ta (CLG) – 77.1
10. Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (TSM) – 76.9
11. Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black (Dignitas) – 76.4
12. William “Stunt” Chen (100 Thieves) – 75.2
13. Austin “Gate” Yu (Immortals) – 70.9
