Caitlyn and Senna are set to receive nerfs on League of Legends Patch 10.19

Patch 10.19 will be the patch played by professional teams and players during the 2020 World Championship. The current meta is in a balanced and exciting state, so the balance team are determined to make as few impactful changes as possible in order to maintain the current game state and avoid the mistakes of previous years.

As usual, Riot Scruffy (lead gameplay designer for League of Legends) posted his team’s fortnightly patch preview on Twitter earlier in the week. The prospective list of changes included six champion nerfs and eight champion buffs, all subject to change ahead of the official Patch 10.19 notes release on Tuesday, 15 September.

The three biggest changes of Patch 10.19 are set to be directed at Caitlyn, Senna, and Sylas. The eagle eyes of the balance team have spotted Caitlyn’s 95% presence in pro play and 51.34% win rate in solo queue and decided to take action. From Patch 10.19, the Sheriff of Piltover is set to have lower base attack speed and reduced Headshot damage from Yordle Snap Trap procs.

Senna has also taken over the bot lane meta over recent patches, boasting a 47% presence in pro play and 51.38% win rate in solo queue. As a result, the balance team intend to halve the ADC’s Mist Wraith spawn chance when killing minions to slow her scaling power.

As for Sylas, he’ll be receiving a very exciting buff for his potentially game-changing ultimate ability, Hijack. Despite already being a useful pick in pro play, the balance team have decided to reduce the Unshackled’s ultimate cooldown from 100/80/60 seconds to 100/70/40 seconds, making him a constant threat at the later stages of the game.
