League of Legends: Ranking the Best Christmas Skins
By Josh Tyler
Here are the best League of Legends skins to get you in the Christmas spirit.
10. Old Saint Zilean
Price: 520 RP
Easily one of the best skins released from that first Snowdown Showdown, Zilean comes in his Christmas finest, dressed as Santa with a sack of toys on his back. He even comes in with a built in excuse for how Santa can visit all the good boys and girls in one night – the chronopower of the clock on his back! The only thing holding this skin back from being higher up is that it, unfortunately, does not have any new effects or animations.
9. Dark Candy Fiddlesticks
Price: 975 RP
This skin gets slept on a lot because it’s a creepy one for a creepy champion but…it’s actually kind of great. Fiddle is throwing snowballs, his recall animation includes him hiding behind a Christmas tree, and all of his abilities have the bells jingling as they go off. Plus, it’s hard to be creeped out by a figure whose body appears to be made of peppermint bark.
8. Snow Day Bard
Price: 1350 RP
For my money (or RP), this is the best Snow Day skin in the game. Bard is dressed in his warmest coat, throwing snowballs with his Meeps, and dropping mugs of steaming hot cocoa for his teammates to constantly ignore (seriously it’s health for you ADCs!). It may not be entirely Christmas, but this skin will put you in the right holiday mood.
7. Ambitious Elf Jinx
Price: 1350 RP
It’s a very cartoonish, whimsical take on Runeterra’s resident psycho. Although it’s not explicitly Christmas, the elf theme works well for Jinx, who rides a toy train around the Rift and when she recalls. I also love the monkeys with cymbals replacing her Chompers, which is both festive and appropriate.
6. Festive Maokai
Price: 975 RP
A skin doesn’t have to be epic and full of bells and whistles to bring you the holiday cheer. This is a bang-up job dressing Maokai up as a tree, with little details that make this skin incredibly festive. His saplings are boxed up as presents and his ultimate’s brambles have little Christmas lights on them. It’s not getting a PS5 for Christmas, but it’s more like getting a bunch of nerf guns that you know you’re going to play with.
