Breaking down upcoming Order and Chaos event

There is a new event brewing in League of Legends that will introduce the new Missions update in an amazing way.

It looks like the latest new unreleased skins to Yasuo and Riven weren’t just done since they were long overdue but rather, to introduce an amazing new event in League of Legends. The new Nightbringer Yasuo and Dawnbringer Riven skins will apparently open up a new event called “Order and Chaos” which will introduce missions for the very first time in the history of the game.

In case you didn’t know, missions are indeed coming to League of Legends and should make the game even more engaging since if you do certain things to complete them, it will open up a plethora of rewards. By completing missions, it will help unlock exclusive skins, portraits, and even unique Loot chests.

It looks like even if you don’t own the new Yasuo and Riven skins when they become available, you’ll still be able to participate in the event and contribute to either faction of this new missions update. This is a great way to not only introduce the new missions feature but could pave the way for future updates if it’s tied into doing specific actions in order to unlock unique content.

In an article written by James “Obscurica” Chen for PvPLive.net, here is what developer Rioter Ponts said about what to expect based on feedback from beta testing:

"We are introducing limited-time loot we’d like you to test. Earn Order and Chaos Tokens by completing missions (or purchase them in the Store) to unlock special Icons, Borders, Emotes and Orbs. You can also purchase passes themed toward Order or Chaos, which grant you a Hextech Chest & Key, an Orb, a unique Ward, a multiplier that doubles the amount of tokens you earn on missions, and mission lines exclusive to the passes."

In the grand scheme of things, this is going to create a huge amount of activity in the Summoner’s Rift. Not only for long-term gamers but especially for either new or returning ones that want to check out an event of this nature for the very first time.

Overall, expect to see the new Order and Chaos event launch soon, either this week or the following. It’s an exciting time in League of Legends as if it’s done correctly and fulfills what gamers are looking for, it will continue being the best MOBA to play in the world.
