Gnar finally getting a damage buff
Gnar, the Missing Link, is finally getting a damage buff to make him a bit more powerful in the top lane of League of Legends.
If you’ve never played as Gnar, the Missing Link, in League of Legends, he truly is a blast holding down the fort in the top lane. His abilities are good for the most part as he’s able to change into Mega Gnar with his passive and completely changes his kit to do even more damage to enemies. The only problem is, it’s not enough damage against META top laners.
The good news is, it looks like developers of League of Legends are going to buff his overall damage output. Gnar is all about stunning/slowing enemies down but when he’s in his mega form, it could use a bit of a punch.
In an article written by James “Obscurica” Chen of PvPLive.net, he confirmed that developers have some interesting ideas to address Gnar’s lack of damage when he’s in his mega form. Take a look below at what they said:

"We’ve been trying out some Gnar changes recently, looking at both adding a bit of power and whether his play pattern needs a bit of work too. That’s included looking at things like moving his % health damage from his W to his Q.After some testing we’ll probably be going with some simpler changes though, conclusion being he mainly just needs a bit of power. Likely targets are mini Q base damage and mega E range, might see those on PBE shortly."
This bodes well for all you Gnar mains out there since this upcoming update should make his abilities keep up against META opponents and also be more engaging in team fights. Imagine seeing a higher damage output when Mega Gnar use his W – Hyper/Wallop right in the center of the enemy team?
If developers get it right and add even more damage to his abilities, he will truly be a force to reckon with. Expect to see this update within the next month or so.
