Why taking breaks can help frustrating matches
Taking a break after a string of bad matches in League of Legends will get you back on the right track.
We’ve all been there before in League of Legends. We’re excited to put some time in and really hone our craft with our favorite champions in our favorite role. Unfortunately, instead of going on that six-game winning streak, you end up losing four straight and went 0-6-2 in your last match.
At this point in time, a lot of Summoners will simply grind it out in hopes of ending their losing streak with a win. Whether you play with friends or hope the random strangers you meet in queue are decent in League of Legends, sometimes no matter how good you do, you’re going to lose.
It’s important to know that even if you lose a plethora of consecutive matches, the most important thing to do is take a nice long break. Now, that could be an hour-long break or even a few days if that. It’s best to reset yourself and think back to why you ended up losing in the first place.

It could have been bad teammates, hitting abilities at the wrong time, or perhaps even not having the right items to maximize the kit of your favorite champion.
Whatever the case may be, time away from League of Legends after frustrations sit in is the best thing to do in order to come back fresh and ready to do your best again.
Remember, League of Legends isn’t the only game out there. Whether you want to fire up some console games, play other games on Steam, or even try out another MOBA, it’s better than getting so annoyed with League of Legends after losing so much that you’re contemplating uninstalling the game once and for all. Also, going out for a walk or even to get a cup of iced coffee before playing again also helps.
When frustration sets in, take a break and remember that in the grand scheme of things, it’s a competitive video game. No one wins every single match and losing can actually help you out in the long run as long as you understand the mistakes you made and correct them for next time. The more practice you put in, the better you’ll be but taking breaks is key to bouncing back and ensuring that your mind gets a break too.
