League should consider high Elo downloadable games

Considering how big the Esports scene in League of Legends is, it makes sense for developers to include the ability to download and watch high Elo games within the gaming client.

It’s not easy to rank up in Elo when it comes to League of Legends. It takes endless hours of perfecting your craft and working with teammates to achieve victory in every match possible. To rank up in high Elo, especially in the tiers of Platinum, Diamond, and Challenger is especially hard.

League of Legends is all about teamwork and well, learning how to effectively play a champion and succeed in a specific role. Professional gamers all preach about how sticking with the same champion pool and role will only help Summoners be able to get promoted when it comes to their Elo.

There is, however, an issue when it comes to learning the ins and outs of the game. Sure, there are countless videos on YouTube and Twitch on how to improve but in the grand scheme of things, League of Legends should consider bringing back an old feature directly into the gaming client to help aid with the educational part of the game.

In the old gaming client, Summoners were able to download and watch high Elo games whenever they wanted. Not only could they see all the fantastic strategies the better gamers in League of Legends would use but also get a great idea on builds, items to craft, and of course, how to counter enemy champions.

Now, of course, it wouldn’t make sense to be able to watch high Elo games as they happen in real time but it would be great to have them available for download to watch after the match is over.

That way, it wouldn’t be a security issue for highly ranked Elo players and would also give Summoners the ability to watch such high-quality matches.

Overall, this will only help the player base improve and also help higher ranked players get even more recognition. Perhaps League of Legends could even also consider a “best of” series each month, showcasing the top high Elo matches available for download to further increase their exposure. Either way, it’s worth bringing back this feature to benefit those that need help getting out of the lower Elo tiers.
