League of Legends should turn Swain into a complete warlock
Swain, the Master Tactician, hasn’t had a consistent theme when it comes to his identity as he’s a bit all over the place. It’s time developers of League of Legends turned him into a complete warlock.
Endless amounts of ravens, good mana regeneration, and the ability to even transform himself into a raven, pretty much defines everything about Swain, the Master Tactician. For a long time now in League of Legends, Swain hasn’t had the right kind of look, kit, and well, impact in the Summoner’s Rift.
Now, in the grand scheme of things, there is a very simple way to not only fix Swain to be more of a damage dealing mage champion in League of Legends but also make him effective in the mid lane. Instead of making him a tanky kind of ranged damage dealer that could do top or mid lane, developers should take the essence of his character and turn him into a complete warlock.
Warlocks traditionally in other games are all about damage over time spells while also having a bigger health pool. Unlike squishy mages that are more powerful, warlocks tend to be a good balance of steady damage and actually taking a big hit or two and surviving.

In an article written by Tanner Dedmon of ComicBook.com, it’s been confirmed that Swain is indeed next up to get a big update after Evelynn, the Widowmaker.
At this point in time, developers haven’t confirmed exactly what awaits Swain but if they were to transition him into a complete warlock, it would make more sense given his lore.
Swain isn’t some follower or puppet, he’s the Grand General of Noxus and rightfully so. What makes the most sense would be to take away his tankiness and focus on making him a complete warlock with major damage over time spells and an ultimate that capitalizes on anything that’s already hit with draining abilities.
His lone stun ability should remain the same and his passive would work already well considering he would benefit from having a subtle but consistent mana regen when he’s killing minions and enemies. Overall, it’s an exciting time for mains of Swain or even those looking for a newly reworked champion ready to wreak havoc against anyone standing in their way.
