Playing as META champions, the strongest and most popular characters at a particular time, won’t always equal success in League of Legends.

We’ve all done it before. We get frustrated with League of Legends to the point where we question if the champions we enjoy playing as in our collection are good enough to win matches. You know, the champions that you either started out with when you first played or tried out in the free champion rotation and felt they matched up perfectly with your style of play.

Then we decide to look up what either professional Esports players are using in their respective roles or visit sites dedicated to getting match data that shows which champions have the highest win rate. Then we purchase news champions that statistically win a lot of games but then realize it’s a chore to master their kit and well, are back to getting more frustrated due to still feeling at a disadvantage.

In the grand scheme of things, don’t always go by what any particular META is at given time. Just because a pro player or the majority of gamers have success using specific champions doesn’t mean you will also have similar results.

It’s always best to stick with the kind of play style you enjoy. Every position in League of Legends has a specific role that must be executed if you want to do your part in leaving a match victorious.

Try out each role, pick the champions that appeal to you, and simply practice with them until you master everything they bring to the table.

Who cares what champions pro players use or even the most successful Summoners since one can easily see the common theme. It’s not always which champion is the flavor of the month, but rather, all the time invested in mastering that champion’s abilities in key situations. Practice makes perfect and that is the essence of what League of Legends is all about. It has nothing to do with current META since if you’re talented, you can find success with any champion you invest the time in mastering.
