Currently, on the Public Beta Environment, developers are testing out a huge buff on Ivern, the Green Father, to make him a better jungler in League of Legends.
For the past few months, Ivern, the Green Father, has had a rollercoaster of a time when it comes to what he brings to the table. Primarily a jungle character in League of Legends, he’s been nerfed beyond belief over the past few months.
Luckily, developers have noticed that if they tweak a few things or even one main ability in his kit, it would actually make a world of a difference. Since they want to increase his popularity and overall effectiveness in League of Legends, developers have decided to give him a huge buff in the Public Beta Environment to see if it will do the trick.
In an article written by Aaron Mickunas of Dot Esports, he confirmed that the big change currently being tested out in the PBE is with Ivern’s E – Triggerseed. Here’s what he had to say:
"The buffs on the PBE increase the damage of his shield, Triggerseed, at all ranks, and its AP scaling is also being raised. The AP scaling is fantastic, because he’ll build AP support items like Athene’s Unholy Grail and Ardent Censer, and the damage from the shields will help his ganking power."
This would be a huge buff that in the grand scheme of things, would do a whole lot to bring Ivern back to being a viable option out of the jungle. He hasn’t been strong at all when it comes to ganking enemy champions and when it comes to team fights, his kit leaves much to the imagination.

Of course, anything can happen as it’s being tested out but hopefully, it sticks since it would allow Ivern to buff teammates with something that actually does some solid burst damage.
Buffing Ivern’s E – Triggerseed would help tremendously when setting up a situation where he catches an enemy champion off guard.
If it does more damage, it would set things up nicely to secure a kill and push that respective lane towards success. Ivern can be viable again as a jungler with this key buff since he can build a whole new set of AP items and have his shield be even more impactful. Otherwise, it won’t make much of a difference and will put him back towards the bottom part of effective junglers. If such a buff actually turns into reality for Ivern, expect to see it in the next big patch update.
