Patch update 7.18 in League of Legends brings Gragas, the Rabble Rouser, some nerfs to his kit due to balancing issues.

Primarily a jungler and top lane champion, Gragas, the Rabble Rouser, has been enjoying much success as of late in League of Legends. Summoners know that he does very well as a tanky champion who has a solid amount of armor and health right from the start of a match.

Patch update 7.18 has been live for a bit now and well, balances needed to happen to Gragas in the grand scheme of things. Developers noticed that he was clearing the jungle rather quickly and didn’t have to deal with any situations of having too low of health.

Unfortunately for all you Gragas mains out there, you’ll undoubtedly felt the nerfs that hit him. His base armor has been decreased and his E – Body Slam will now require even more skill to execute properly.

The hitbox for it will now be fairer for enemy champions to have a shot to actually dodge it. As per the Media Relations Department of League of Legends, here are the official changes to Gragas as of patch update 7.18:

"Base statsBASE ARMOR :: 29.05 >>> 26.05E – Body SlamCOLLISION DETECTION RADIUS :: 210 >>> 180HITBOX OFFSET RADIUS :: 60 >>> 40[NEW] LESS BODY SLAM :: Indicator changed to more accurately reflect hitbox"

These nerfs do make sense since as a jungler, there needed to be a balance of what he brings to the table. Gragas had a plethora of health and even when trying to hurt him, had enough armor to mitigate damage. It posed a problem when he was engaging in team fights since he could disrupt groups and feel overpowered when facing off against him.

With these changes, those that main Gragas will need to be more careful when ganking and especially when engaging in team fights now with having less armor. Even when using E – Body Slam, it won’t always be a guaranteed hit like it was before patch update 7.18.
