Breaking down patch 7.18 nerfs to Tristana

Tristana, the Yordle Gunner, was nerfed in patch update 7.18 due to having a bit too much damage from the start of a match and pushing lanes a bit faster than others.

When it comes to Tristana, the Yordle Gunner, she always brings much to the table in League of Legends. She’s a popular ADC and for good reason, as she can dish out a good amount of damage in the bottom lane.

The problem is, she was a bit too bursty when it came to the early laning phase in a match. It’s no secret that with Tristana’s kit, she’s able to farm rather quickly and be an at early advantage compared to others.

Opposing champions would often see Tristana earning gold faster and even leveling up quicker mainly thanks to her E – Explosive Charge. It’s perfect for killing groups of minions quickly and be rather annoying for enemy champions that got anywhere near it.

Patch update 7.18 brought some nerfs to this ability and the damage it causes. As per the Media Relations Department of League of Legends, here are the changes that his Tristana:

In the grand scheme of things, this should now make Tristana more balanced when not only facing her but ensuring that she doesn’t start running wild over the opposition due to having an advantage over farming.

This shouldn’t also affect her popularity by much since it just means Summoners have to farm and push lanes at a normal rate just like everyone else. If anything, it will require even more skill and patience to farm and level her up by making smart decisions in the Summoner’s Rift.

Overall, Tristana mains will undoubtedly feel a difference when using E – Explosive Charge but there is nothing more satisfying in League of Legends when hitting R – Buster Shot and seeing enemy champions flying across the screen. Look at the bright side, at least her ultimate didn’t get nerfed in this latest patch update.
