League of Legends: Breaking down patch 7.19 buffs to Aatrox

Patch update 7.19 finally brought some much-needed buffs to Aatrox, the Darkin Blade in League of Legends.

Aatrox, the Darkin Blade, is a pretty interesting champion in League of Legends. Primarily used in the top lane or as a jungler, Aatrox hasn’t been much of a difference maker as developers intended him to be with his kit.

The truth of the matter is, Aatrox’s ability emphasizes burst damage and being able to swoop right in and unleash a plethora of damage. The problem is, some enemy champions were able to stun or crowd control him before he was able to use his Q – Dark Flight ability which left him unable to even take off and come crashing down to knock up those in its radius.

Developers noticed that it took away from what Aatrox is supposed to be about and as per patch update 7.19, have made some key changes to his Q and well, gave him another nice buff too. As per the Media Relations Department of League of Legends, here are the official changes he got:

"Q – Dark FlightDON’T STOP ME NOW :: Aatrox is now unstoppable during Dark Flight’s descentR – MassacreADDITIONAL ATTACK RANGE :: 175 >>> 225"

It’s great to see that now, Aatrox can’t have the descending aspect of his Q – Dark Flight be affected by enemy champions that could do so. This should undoubtedly put him back in a better place, especially when he’s about to gank a lane as a jungler and catch enemy champions off guard.
