Patch update 7.19 is live in League of Legends as Vayne, the Night Hunter, got many changes to the abilities in her kit.

When it comes to Vayne, the Night Hunter, there’s a big reason why she’s a popular ADC. She does solid damage and can keep up with anyone in the bottom lane. The only issue she has in the grand scheme of things is when it comes to the early parts of a match in League of Legends.

Vayne is a bit weak when it comes to early farming in a match and often times finds herself on the receiving end of being underwhelming and ineffective until she levels/gears up. It’s not until later on in matches where Vayne truly becomes a force to reckon with.

Developers have noticed this trend and wanted to tweak her particular style of play in the Summoner’s Rift. As per the Media Relations Department of League of Legends, here are all the official changes that have hit Vayne as of patch update 7.19:

"Q – TumbleTRIP NOT CRIT :: Bonus damage is no longer increased when the attack critically strikesDAMAGE :: 30/35/40/45/50% of total Attack Damage >>> 50/55/60/65/70% of total Attack DamageW – Silver BoltsPERCENT HEALTH DAMAGE :: 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% target’s maximum health >>> 4/6/8/10/12% target’s maximum healthMINIMUM DAMAGE :: 40/60/80/100/120 >>> 50/65/80/95/110R – Final HourONE MORE TURN :: If a champion dies within 3 seconds of being damaged by Vayne, Final Hour’s duration is extended by 4 seconds. This cannot extend the remaining duration past the initial maximum duration."

Needless to say, this will undoubtedly bring more of a balance to Vayne. With increasing the base damage of her Q – Tumble, it’s now easier for Vayne to farm minions and also poke enemy champions.

Vayne’s W – Silver Bolts got scaled down a bit but saw a slight early boost to the minimum damage it can do. This was a smart move since now, it’s still effective but not as much as before. With the nerf to it, it opens things up nicely for her ultimate, R – Final Hour.

Her ultimate got a nice buff to where if she starts to rack up kills by using it, it’ll extend her abilities for a bit longer and continue to add on casualties. It works perfectly when it comes to her contributions to a team fight as it’s easy to see her kill several members of the opposing team if her spell rotation is done properly leading up to her ultimate.

Overall, the developers changed Vayne to where now she’s a complete champion without that annoying early game weakness that’s been bothering her for a while now. Those that main her should see the changes right from the start as they continue to hunt evil-doers in the Summoner’s Rift.
