For those not keeping abreast of the LCK action, here’s a recap of which Korean League of Legends teams are atop the standings after Week 4.

While Western fans were focused on Rift Rivals, the LCK Summer Split has finished its fourth week. After SKT won two straight series, how much have they improved? We recap all the League of Legends action from Korea in Week 4.

More from International Tournaments

10. Jin Air Green Wings (2-16)

After cementing themselves in the basement of the LCK in Week 3, Jin Air spent Week 4 paving over their own grave in the foundation. An 0-4 week against Sandbox and Griffin wasn’t surprising, but this team really didn’t put up much of a fight.

9. KT Rolster (6-13)

Facing two teams in the bottom half of our rankings last week in SK Telecom and Afreeca Freecs, KT lost both series in sweeps. Their season is essentially over now that they lost the ‘Telecom War’ last week.

8. Hanwha Life Esports (6-12)

Hanwha Life also had a rough schedule in Week 4, losing to both Damwon and Kingzone Dragon X. They can hold their heads high that they did manage to take Kingzone to three games in the series, but this team is the worst in the LCK in terms of gold differential at 15 minutes. They average almost a 1,500g deficit at that mark.

7. SKT Telecom T1 (9-11)

Two straight series wins via sweep brings SKT closer to the .500 mark, which is encouraging. They beat KT Rolster in a “must-win” series and then had a strong showing against Gen.G. The only remaining issue is that SKT tends to have a lot of trouble closing out games, averaging over 37 minutes in their wins, which is four minutes slower than the league average.

6. Gen.G (9-10)

Gen.G went 0-4 in their games this weekend. Although getting swept by Sandbox was expected, they really needed to have a better showing against SKT. A win would have given Gen.G a lot more breathing room in that fight for the final playoff spot, but now SK Telecom is breathing down their necks.
